Traditional Music Collection

Search Help

The Traditional Music Collection contains information about New Hampshire folk musicians and their works. You may search the database in several ways.

Search Criteria

Name:

You may search by the artist's first name, last name or first and last name. The search results will display the artist's individual works. Additionally, if the artist is listed in the database as being part of a group, the results will also display titles in which the artists performs as part of a group.

 

Title:

You may search by the title of the work.

 

Group:

You may search by the name of a group. This will return works only by group name and not by individuals within the group.

 

Genre:

You may search the data base by genre. Select a genre using the dropdown arrow and click the search button.

 

Combination search:

You may narrow your search by using any combination of the above criteria. By entering a keyword in each of the input boxes and selecting a specific genre, you will only return the record or records that match all the criteria.

 

Browse:

If all input boxes are left blank, and a genre is not selected, the search results will return all the records in the database.

 

Search results

Search results will be listed alphabetically by title. The results will include the title and artist of the collection item as well as contact information for how to obtain a copy of the work. Contact information might include an address, email address, phone number. If available, a web address will also be displayed. Each of the artists and groups that are stored in the database for a particular collection item will be listed. A picture of the cover of the item will be displayed.
