Simon Brooks

Simon began storytelling over 20 years ago, and has been working with students of all ages for over 10 years. Workshops work best with people ages eight and up, encouraging collaboration as a community. Students are asked to respect each other and each others work; to help and encourage participants to better themselves. Simon teaches skills that align to the new standards allowing students to become better communicators, have deeper understanding of different cultures, how voice and tone can change meanings. Skills in researching, then working and reworking a story until a comprehensible piece is created and then presenting this work builds confidence, and these skills can be used in multiple disciplines. Simon has three award-winning recordings and has performed and taught all over New England.

Programs offered: Storytelling performances for any age range are offered in single or multiple shows, and half day or full day performances. Full-day and multi-day residencies are also provided.
